Jason Samel, President

Since graduating SUNY at Stonybrook in 2001, Jason has worked in numerous capacities that all have one common theme, helping people through his innate ability to sell them products and services that they truly want and need, while always maintaining a positive consultative sales approach. Jason spent his years during school working hard in numerous positions, from selling consumer electronics, to mattresses as well as a Fund Raising Director for The Coalition Against Breast Cancer, a non-profit organization.  Jason has consistently exceeded his goals.

During the real estate market hay day beginning in 2005, Jason worked for a major mortgage bank and worked his way up the ladder to the position of Branch Manager. He had great success in helping people by matching them with the best product given each one’s financial situation. Jason managed two teams of loan officers, sales managers, loan processors, and administrative staff and consistently exceeded his office’s goals.

In the four years prior to founding JayMar Insurance Agency in 2011 with Mark, Jason sold payroll and human resource administration products for a major national payroll company and quickly became one of the company’s leading producers.

Since 2006, Jason has become licensed to sell Life and Health insurance products and Property and Casualty Insurance.  By joining forces with his father, Jason and Mark founded JayMar Insurance Agency in 2011 and are now able to continue helping people by satisfying their insurance needs.

Jason says “our goal is simple, help our clients in every way possible by doing what’s right for them.  We do not aim to make the sale, but to walk away knowing that we did the best thing for our client.  We like to treat our clients with the same respect we would treat our own blood.  After all, We treat your business like family.”

 


 

Mark Samel, Executive Vice-President

Mark Samel has spent the last forty three years increasing his knowledge through working in Group Benefits as a:

    •    Group insurance Underwriter
•    Sales Account Executive for major insurance carriers
•    Regional Sales Manager
•    Sales Account Executive for benefits brokers
•    President of JayMar Insurance Agency

He developed his skills in benefit plan design and analysis, claims experience analysis and reporting, premium rate development and financial projections,  troubleshooting and problem resolution pertaining to the overall account management of his clients.

During his successful career being involved in Group Medical, Dental, Life, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Vision Care and Voluntary Benefits, he learned how to take the tools and products available to provide tailor made solutions for his clients. His extensive overall group benefits background layed the groundwork for JayMar Insurance Agency.
